Three Dialogues is a group exhibition by the artists Margaret Paraskos, Emilio Koutsoftides and Cheryl Newman. The work is connected by an exploration of the human condition, through thematic narratives taken from mythology, folklore and politics creating fictional scenes described as landscapes of emotions.

The scenes are assembled through a series of layers explored by each artist’s practice and chosen mediums. A discussion between the pieces explores what it means to be human, where tension and trauma are a key factor of the message, inviting the audience to investigate and be provoked.

Emilio Koutsoftides is an architect, artist and educator living and working in Paphos, CY. His practice investigates the political uncertainty of communities around the world that are forced to reflect on ideologies/positions they find themselves in society. The work is a pictorial narrative, exploring fictional journeys in which a series of scenes are exhibited as storyboards composed by abstracted forms in which the human figures are expressed through restless lines that create a composition of blurred, blended, and distorted landscapes of emotions. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including the 17th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia, Larnaca Biennale 2021, European Capital of Culture Paphos 2017 and the 6th Annual Installation 2023 E.KA.TE. Emilio has a March in Architecture from the University for the Creative Arts and is a tutor at the American University of Cyprus and a master class tutor at Paris School of Architecture.
Cheryl Newman is a London based artist and curator working with photography. Her practice explores the emotional landscape of love, desire, and family history.
