LANDSCAPE

As “all landscapes are autobiographical” so is LANDSCAPE, Antoniou’s third piece in a row, where she continues to observe as a woman her interaction with the patriarchal culture of the 21st century.
 
The artist unapologetically makes herself available in order to highlight one’s personal experience as a collective landscape. She overexposes the female body with pleasure and extends the boundaries of the impressive spectacle to its limits, by skillfully and intentionally inviting the gaze of the spectators. She creates the space and the environment for the political body to exist as both deeply traumatised and superficially sexual.
