Alkinoos Ioannidis, returning to his homeland, brings his new work to the Nicosia International Festival 2023. It is a new instrumental and sonic approach to his discography, which he premieres at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, before travelling to Cyprus and abroad.
Accompanied by renowned Cypriot musicians Marios Takousis, Lefteris Moumtzi and Yannis Koutis, Alkinoos Ioannidis will perform well-known songs from his discography in Greek and Spanish. As always, the lyrics of his songs express a contemporary social and existential concern, while his words remain highly poetic.
The concert will also include selected traditional Cypriot songs from his album "Po Westin as Anatolian", which is a special reference point in Cypriot music.
The concert is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Spain in Cyprus, on the Spanish Presidency of the European Council.
