CULTURE AS AN ANTIDOT

The Nicosia International Festival co- organizes with the Nicosia-Kyrenia Medical Association “Hippocrates” the conference “Culture as an antidote” coordinated by the Professor of History and Theory of Art at Frederick University Giannis Toumazis. The conference aims to map the post- pandemic era and its effects on humans. Three scientists will develop the following lectures: “The contribution of the art of medicine to culture”, Dionysios Kokkinos, Emeritus Professor of the University of Athens and a university associate of the Institute for Biomedical Research of the Academy of Athens.

“The evolution of man through culture and vice versa. A developmental and Therapeutic relationship”, George Pogiatzis, Specialist Psychology in the field of business.

“Art as a gift”, Antonis Volanaki, Assistant Professor at the Department of Fine arts of the Cyprus University of Technology.
