Nicosia Municipal Theatre
With a visual event, the Nicosia International Festival in collaboration with the Echo of Cyprus 1821 - 2021, exhibits in the foyer of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre seven paintings by three artists from Cyprus and Greece, Nitsa Hadjigeorgiou, Savvas Georgiadis and Vangelis Tzemias.
The exhibition on the one hand includes paintings related to the Greek Revolution, on the other hand, on the occasion of the paintings the Echo of Cyprus 1821- 2021 seizes the opportunity and presents seven moments from the contribution of Cyprus to the Greek Revolution. Moments “known and unknown” that complement the knowledge about the great historical event.
The paintings that will be exhibited in the foyer of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre come from the private collection of the lawyer and wine producer Christodoulos G. Vassiliadis and the collection of the painter Nitsa Hatzigergiou, while the selection of works was
made on behalf of the Nicosia International Festival, by the at historian Giannis Toumazis.
