Municipal Council and its responsibilities

The Municipal Council of Nicosia represents the citizens of the city who elected it, and as such exists to reflect the wishes and aspirations of the electorate. This is its most important role.

Its main responsibilities are the enactment, revision and abolition of regulations, and planning and approval of budgets for municipal projects.
