THE LADY OF RO by Giannis Skaragas

Fotini Baxevani, in a poignant text inspired by the «Lady of Ro», a woman embodies human strength and the hope that when faced with challenging times, the solutions come from within.
 
The tender and poetic monologue is based on the life of Despina Achadioti, the so-called «Lady of Ro», a free spirited and defiant woman. The play is set against the turbulent history of Kastellorizo, the tragic consequences of two consecutive wars, the despair and inner thoughts of a woman faced with the elements of nature and who still hopes that her faith in humanity can make the world a better place.
