The performances of "Franz Kafka’s Doll" continue successfully! After the first shows in February and March, "The Doll" invites us on its journey once again on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 15:30 and 18:00, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. The performance is part of the 5th Nicosia International Festival.
The same award-winning creative team behind "STILL! A Statue that travelled the world", Stavros Stavrou, Kostas Silvestros, and Thodoris Oikonomou, return to transport us into the magical realm of a story that, according to many, is based on true events. A story that reminds us that "whatever we love may be lost, but love will always return in another form." The performance is rich in imagery, live music, and humour.
Set in Berlin in the autumn of 1923, the story begins in a park where a little girl weeps inconsolably over the loss of her doll. There, she encounters the renowned author Franz Kafka, who reassures her that the doll is not lost but has embarked on a great journey around the world. From that day on, the girl begins receiving letters from her doll – penned by Kafka – detailing her adventures across the globe.
